All the advice and information you need to feel relaxed, calm, and ready as you prepare to meet your little one.
Newborn Nesting Workshops During Covid-19
We are certainly living in interesting times! But there are still babies on their way, and parents-to-be who need to prepare, get organised, set up the nursery and pack their hospital bags!
All Newborn Nesting Workshops will go ahead as planned, and all the information contained in the menus below is accurate, aside from the following changes:
– workshops will now run via Zoom for the foreseeable future, rather than face to face. This still enables us to run them in a way that is live and interactive. We won’t be in the same room, but we’ll still be able to chat, laugh and learn together, and you’ll be able to interact with the other parents-to-be who are attending the workshop
– unfortunately we won’t be able to provide the grazing table brunch 🙁 (Zoom is good, but it isn’t that good!)
– we will still mail out discount vouchers and offers, but unfortunately we won’t be able to provide the products and samples usually contained in the goodie bags
– the workshop ticket price has been discounted to $39 to accommodate for the switch to online delivery. Just head to the Book Online tab below and enter the code ZOOM at the checkout to apply the discount
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email us on firstname.lastname@example.org
What is ‘nesting’?
Have you found yourself rearranging furniture and cleaning out your wardrobe? Organising your linen cupboard and alphabetising the spice rack? Scrubbing the bathroom grout with a toothbrush and sweeping out the garage? Obsessively researching prams and cots online? Rest assured there is some biological significance to these behaviours – it sounds like you might be nesting!
The nesting instinct – that overwhelming desire to get your home ready for your new baby – forms an important part of your mental preparation for becoming a mum and making your home baby-friendly. Usually the result of an increase in the amount of adrenalin coursing through your system in the final stages of pregnancy, these pre-labour rituals involve lots of productive cleaning and organising activities. The natural urge to nest also helps you feel more prepared and in control of your environment.
If the nesting instinct has hit, make the most of it! It’s a great way to get lots done now, because things are about to become a whole lot more hectic! Read on to find out how our Newborn Nesting Workshops can help you take advantage of all this nesting energy and channel it in the right direction.
Why these workshops?
Preparing to welcome a new baby can feel overwhelming at times. Most expectant couples will remember the sense of panic they experienced walking into a baby shop for the first time. How could one small being need so much STUFF? And what exactly does this small being actually need?
We often joke that parenting doesn’t come with a manual – and it doesn’t – but boy do we learn a lot along the way. Imagine if there was a way you could access all that wisdom before you had your baby?! What a fabulous head start that would be! That’s exactly why we decided to create our Newborn Nesting Workshops.
If we can remove some of the anxiety expectant couples experience, by providing straightforward advice, clever organisational tips and handy recommendations, then you can feel relaxed, calm and ready – and actually enjoy this special time in your life. Do something today that your future parenting self will thank you for! Fortune favours the prepared!
What will I learn?
Our workshops are full of advice, ideas and pointers to help you feel more organised and informed so you can create some calm out of the chaos. Feeling prepared and in control is one of the best ways to relax and enjoy the lead-up to meeting your little one! Enjoy a stress-free pregnancy, knowing you’re set, ready and prepared.
We will cover a range of handy topics, including:
- Hospital bag checklists
- Nursery set up & organisation
- What you need to buy (and what you don’t!)
- Packing the perfect baby bag
- Systems for staying on top of things
- Tips and tricks to make mum-life easier
When should I attend?
You can attend at any stage of your pregnancy – it’s never too early or too late to get organised!
Who can I bring?
You are more than welcome to come alone and meet other new mums-to-be, or alternatively, you can bring your partner, your mum, your bestie (or all three!) – anyone who is excited to help you get ready for your baby’s arrival and would like to join you. Make a day of it! You’ll be all fuelled up with both delicious food and new knowledge, so hit the shops straight after the workshop and start ticking things off your list.
Where are the workshops held?
Workshops are held in the gorgeous light-filled space at Fertility Tasmania in the Hobart CBD.
