If you have a fever, cough, muscle aches, lethargy, sore throat or shortness of breath and you have travelled from the NW coast of Tasmania, or had recent close contact with someone from the NW Coast, it is important you advise us.
If you have had close contact with a confirmed case 14 days before illness onset
If you have undertaken international or interstate travel within 14 days or have been a cruise ship passenger or crew member within the last 14 days, it is important that you contact us.
If any of the above apply to you, please contact us via phone prior to making a booking, or before visiting our practice for a face-to-face appointment.
To comply with social distancing, to protect other patients and staff we request you attend a face to face appointment alone.
Please be aware that your temperature will be taken upon entry to the clinic.
Where appropriate appointments are being converted to Telehealth (either video call or telephone). With the latest change to the Health Insurance Act legislation, you may be charged a private fee or bulk billed as decided by your specialist.
You will be contacted regarding existing appointment arrangements. New referrals will be triaged by the specialist and you will be notified as to the most appropriate consultation. This will be done as soon as possible.
Please allow at least 48 hours for script/pathology forms to be sent out after your appointment (unless urgent and your doctor will ask staff to process on that day).
If you have trouble contacting us by phone, it is because we are experiencing a large volume of phone activity at present. Please either try later, leave a message, or send us an email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will contact you, usually within 24hours.
